My sister gave me the idea (I am sure she saw it on pinterest) & I just happened to have some of these fine products from the late 80's early 90's!

Home from Round Rock

We woke up Thursday morning & decided to head out.  We booked a hotel in Round Rock thinking we would have lots to do, however we ended up at the Outlet Mall way too much.

We played at a park.  Brayden chased this poor bunny & I chased Brayden...poor me!

We went to Lake Travis one afternoon.

They tried to catch up to these ducks, but they were too fast!

And then back to the Outlet Malls, sweaters @

War Zone - Justin, TX

Now that I am a mother I enjoy the 3rd of July @ the "War Zone" much better!  So fewer people, but ya still get the big show!

I have to say this is one of the coolest things I have ever "lived" through.

Field for Fireworks

Some fun people watching!!!

Any age person can light any type of firework. 

It is the craziest coolest thing ever!!! 

One year the group next to us had a boy about 2 years old with a bottle rocket & a couple of times it just barely missed our group.  Lovin it!!!

They have off duty fire fighters there usually on 4 wheelers to put out the fires that start, but most of the fires are put out by teenage happy boys.  It's cute to watch.

When it is so far past your bed time it doesn't matter how many fireworks are going off.

Antique Store Hopping

I had a babysitter today, so I went and hit a few antique stores with some fun lady's.

Hello, cutest card holder!!!

I am a sucker for tarnished silver, even if it is in a new basket!

How many times have you been at a store and way up high there is something you probably aren't going to buy but you want to know the price?  I love this dealer...you rule!

Look how cute the lamp shade is too!

So here it is...the perfect chair!  I wanted a matching pair, so do I just get over it and buy

this one for my front room and find another later for the mismatch special?

Help me out...to chair or not to chair?

What's for Dessert?

Apparently anything you want!

So I was taking dessert over to my sister's house for her family because they

watched Brayden while I ran an errand.

I wanted to make sure there was a variety, so that everyone could get what they wanted and apparently I went over board.  I didn't realize it until I unloaded everything & got a dirty double take from the man in the white ball shorts.

Another Antique Booth

I opened a second booth this last week @ Picker's Point.

800 N. Main St (Denton Highway/377), Keller,  TX

Open:  Mon-Sat 10am - 6pm 

Here it is with the dealer before me.

I forgot a hammer and the curtains I made & lots of other things so it took me a couple of

days and quit a few trips to get it all up and situated.

Here it is after the first day without a few things...

I added the shutters on the wall, crib piece hanging w/ jewelry & the curtains,

I think they make a big difference. 

Since I made the curtains of course they aren't perfect, however they were crazy cheaper.

I'll show you soon how I did them.

Let There Be Better Light!!!

Here are a few of the lights that we have switched out so far.

Breakfast Nook

These bank beauties were all over the place!

This chandelier I got from a good friend for cheap & I rewired, painted & added crystals to it!

All Finished!

There was another bank beauty over the sink, so we got this pendant on clearance @ Home Depot for $19, it will do til I find the perfect small vintage chandelier.

The entry light is the same from when the house was built, not my look at all.

My brother moved into a brand new home 2 weeks before me and they were going to replace their dinning chandelier, here it is before in their house w/ the "grandma globes" that felt like sandpaper.

I replaced the globes @ Lowes for $3ea, much better now!  I actually like this one enough I might not replace with an antique one...never say never!

Cinderella Antiques

Here are some happily ever before & afters.

I got this old record cabinet thinking of storing my 12x12 scrapbook paper in it.

However I didn't end up using it.

I sanded the ivy off & added these cute "pulls."

We got new cars last week.
Look what the Fam did...

He has wanted this car for years & I needed a truck to haul all my junk I "collect!"

We have never bought a brand new car, but w/ all the truck rebates right now it was not much more than the ones that are a few years old.  Pretty fun to see so few miles.

I had to get leather put in cause trying to clean cloth seats with a
2 year old ain't working for me.

So...

I let a few of the nieces & nephews go to town!

We haven't been to Cadillac Ranch in awhile so this was our substitute.

"Just" (that's Justin in Brayden language) was shocked at what was going on, but I think we were just as shocked at his hair!

Here it is today nice, clean & smelling like leather!
